The Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine kindly invites you to take part in the international conference "Veterinary medicine in service of people," which will be held on 6-7 October 2017 in hotel "Calista", Stara Zagora Mineralni bani.
The aim of the International scientific conference is to bring together scientists, veterinarians and specialists working in the field of veterinary medicine and related sciences, all participants will have the opportunity to present their innovative ideas, results and achievements through plenary lectures, oral and poster presentations, discussions, meetings and conversations.

Instructions to Participants
The scientific conference includes presentation of plenary reports, oral and poster presentations of scientific communications on current issues of the veterinary science and the higher veterinary education. With priority will be accepted works, presenting the results of research with students and PhD students. The papers must not be published until now. The program will accept requests for company presentations.
Official languages of the conference are Bulgarian and English. The text on the slides in Power Point presentations should be in English and this in poster – Bulgarian or English.
Requirements:
Plenary report – up to 30minutes
Report – 10 minutes
Poster – size 75h150 cm
Instructions to Authors
The authors declare their willingness to participate in the conference through a letter which must contain the following information:
– regarding – presenting author’s name;
– names of all authors (please indicate the students);
– preferred scientific field;
– type of presentation (plenary report, oral communication or poster). The organizers reserve the right to change the form of participation for which authors will be informed;
– complete address of the corresponding author and e-mail;
– name of the presenting author;
– each manuscript must be sent by separate e-mail.
Each author can present up to two reports.
Instructions for Preparation of the Manuscripts
Manuscripts from the conference will be published in full text in the supplement of the Bulgarian Journal of Veterinary Medicine as original scientific articles.
Text – Bulgarian or English should be placed on a standard page format A4, 30 lines per page, up to 5 pages (including abstract cited literature, tables, figures, etc.).
The manuscripts should contain:
Title. The authors are invited to use short titles (about 80 characters), reflecting clearly the content without layoffs.
Name and surname of the authors and address of the institution in which they work. Prescribe the initials of first name and surname, and full last name. Affiliation is marked by superscript after the name (Arabic numerals).
Summary. The abstract should be a short (up to 1000 characters) presenting the basic information and the contribution of the article to the scientific field.

Tables and illustrations (graphs, drawings) should be given on separate pages and numbered in Arabic numerals according to their sequence in the text. Each table should have a title comprehensible enough without reading the text. Graphs and drawings should be made with maximum clarity. Duplication of data from the tables is not accepted. Digital photographs should be with resolution at least 300×300 dpi. Preferred formats are *JPG, *TIFF, *.EPS, *.AI. The color images are for the online version of the Supplement, whereas the printed version will contains images in black and white. The editorial office may request a clean set of photographs for design purposes. The scale of the figure is indicated at the right bottom by a line scale and the size is given in parentheses at the end of the figure caption, e.g. (bar = 10 µm).
References In all citations in the text the author’s family name and the year of the publication should be given e.g.: (Morris, 1991). If the authors are two, both names are referred to e.g.: (Barton & Moore, 1994), and if they are 3 or more: the first author’s name should be used, followed by “et al.” e.g.: (Levi et al., 1994). If several authors are cited, their names are chronologically arranged and if their publications are in one and the same year – alphabetically. The arrangement of the publications should be done in alphabetical order according to the first author's name. If several publications by the same author are referred to, the following order should be used: publications of the single author, followed by publications with co-authors. Publications by the same author(s) in the same year should be listed as: 1994a, 1994b etc. Examples for the reference style are given below.

All bibliographic data about a reference should be given in the language of the paper using the Latin alphabet. The Editorial Board does not accept the responsibility for inaccurate citations, including the content of webpages and/or for infringement of principles of all kinds of copyright.
Animal research ethics Studies performed on experimental animals should be carried out according to internationally recognized guidelines for animal welfare. These should be clearly described in the respective section "Material and Methods".
Publication of Manuscripts
Manuscripts prepared in Bulgarian or English, should be sent to e-mail: vmf-conferences@abv.bg until 1st of July for publication in the printed and online Supplement and until 1st of August only for online version.
Sending of Registration Forms
After receiving confirmation that applications for participation are accepted, the authors sent to e-mail: vmf-conferences@abv.bg completed registration form and a scanned copy of a paid fee.
