FACULTY OF EDUCATION

THE BEGINNING

Founded in 2002 and inherits the pedagogical traditions dating from the Bulgarian Renaissance Age. In 2012 Faculty celebrated its 10-years anniversary.

ACADEMIC STUFF
Faculty istraining more than 1100 students. Faculty's academic staff includes more than 40 teachers in three departments.

BACHELOR MAJORS FULL-TIME AND PART-TIME OF STUDIES

Majors:

  • Social education – PQ “Social pedagogue”
  • Pre-school and primary school education – PQ “Pre-school and primary school teacher”
  • Primary school education with a foreign language emphasis – PQ “Primary school teacher”
  • Special education – PQ “Special pedagogue”
  • Pedagogy of Information Technology Education – PQ “Teacher of Information Technology”

Forms of study: full-time/ part-time.  Duration: 4 years for a Bachelor degree

MASTER AND PHD PROGRAMS FULL-TIME AND PART-TIME OF STUDIES
Students obtained a Bachelor degree have the possibility to continue their education in EQD „master" in part-time farm of study of education in seven master programs.
Master's degree graduates can continue their studies for scientific degree "PhD".

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIALIZATIONS
FE is performing specializations in 12 short and long term courses for additional professional training at postgraduate level, specialized courses, thematic courses and individual counseling.

SCIENTIFIC PRIORITIES
Scientific priorities in research of scientists from FE are focused on the field of educational strategies, innovations, models; diagnosis and improving the quality of training; ICT in education; environmental educational ambience; intercultural interactions.

FACILITIES FOR TRAINING
Students of FE are trained in modern computer labs, musictompttierlab, halls with multimedia equipment.

STATIONS FOR PRACTICAL TRAINING 
Students carry out their practical training in basic schools, kindergartens, social institutions, internships abroad.

INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION
FE is working on bilateral agreements with universities in France, Macedonia, Portugal and Turkey.
