THE BEGINNING
Faculty of Economics become part of the structure of Trakia university in 2008, based on existing earlier economic majors atthe University.
ACADEMIC STUFF
Faculty of Economics is training more than 1100 students. The teaching staff consists of more than 25 habilitated teachers and 35 assistants and teachers working in 7 departments.

Duringthestudent'straining, the faculty implements new digital and interactive teaching methods. Established was the "Centerfor Electronic and Distance Learning".
MASTER AND PHD PROGRAMS
Graduates of Faculty ofEconomics havethe opportunity to continue their education in 5 programs for obtaining of EQD „master" и doctoral programs on 3 scientific majors.
SCIENTIFIC PRIORITIES
Teachers of FE publish their scientific work's results in international and national journals in the priority research areas: Sector economy; Entrepreneurship and Financial Management, markets; Regional Development, village areas, tourism; Public and Business administration; Informational Technologies; Language Competence; Health and Sport.
FACILITIES FOR TRAINING AND RESEARCH
Faculty of Economics has modern teaching facilities: halls, computer labs, a language lab, etc. The relationship between research and economic practice is carried out through established research centers: Educational and consultancy center in Business Analysis and Entrepreneurship; Centerfor Regional Development.
PRACTICAL TRAINING
Students carry out their tuitions and internships in companies, economic and financial institutions in the region.
INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION
Faculty of Economics works on bilateral agreements with universities from Czech Republic, Austria, Germany, Serbia, Italy,Turkey, Spain and other countries.
