Purpose:
The Junior Automation Engineer will support technical department to ensure correct installation and operations of Field Instruments, automation devices and data collection. He/She will ensure the correct operability of the range of HW and SW involved in the GAS automation management solution and provide technical advice and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in the development and analyses of the Process and Instrumentation Diagram; Provide technical review of the proposals;
- Create and analyse signal list and data transfer;
- Maintain the day-to-day operations of Industrial automation equipment;
- Perform and/or coordinate with the supplier the updates of the Equipment and Software;
- Perform Application management of SCADA and related components;
- Execute tests according to the approved and agreed test plans;
- Create and maintain inventory and maintenance/Calibration list of the equipment;
- Perform Application management of related Software and Network components;
- Issue and track support request (to the supplier/integrator/maintenance company);
- Involved in the maintenance and change management plans;
- Coordinate the execution of the plans when requested;
- Write functional specification and change requests.
Requirements:
- University graduate with major in Computer Science, Automation and Control Engineering / High School education in Computer Science and University study in process is also an option
- Broad Computer Science knowledge (databases, networks and software architecture);
- Knowledge relating to server, network and operating system installation and configuration;
- Knowledge in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Remote Terminal Units (RTUs) for monitoring and control, Flow Computers; Field Instruments, Instrumentation cabling, wiring, junction box, power supply;
- Ability to understand Application systems administration and interfaces of SCADA: like language (C, C++, C#), SOA, XML/SOAP, REST, MS SQL;
- Associated protocols Modbus networking; TCP/IP, MPLS /MPLS-TP/: (Switches, routers, Ethernet, fiber optics, etc.) and transmission systems;
- Demonstrated ability in Control Systems, Instrumentation, and signal processing; P&ID; I/O Lists
- Professional services knowledge excellence in design and support/maintenance;
Good working English level is a must.
