VETERINARY MEDICINE – RESULTS, RANKING LIST AND FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS

VETERINARY MEDICINE – RANKING LIST OF THE ACCEPTED STUDENTS

IMPORTANT:  THE RANKING LIST FOR THE SPECIALTY MEDICINE WILL BE ANNOUNCED NEXT WEEK.

Please be sure to read the very important information below:

1. Only the candidates who have completed both steps – sitting for the entry exams and submitting the application documents – are included in the final ranking. The candidates who have grades form the entrance exams less than 3 are not included in the final ranking. (In Bulgaria the grades between 2 and 2.99 are considered FAIL). The candidates who have failed the English exam are not included in the final ranking as well.
2. The enrollment procedure starts right now (immediately after the announcement of the ranking lists of the accepted students).  The students in Veterinary medicine must register in the Veterinary faculty (Stara Zagora, Students’ campus, Rectorate, 5^th floor, room № 597). In case the students are hindered from coming (because of the Covid-19 situation) someone else may register the student (a friend, a relative, etc.). NO power of attorney is required.

Important: When you come to register you OR your representative must bring 6 photos (passport size) and the document proving that you paid the tuition fee for the first semester (please find more about the payment below)

PLEASE MIND THE FOLLOWING VERY IMPORTANT DEADLINES:

• 2^nd OF OCTOBER – in case you cannot come to the university for the enrollment procedure (because of the COVID-19 situation) you must send (to the e-mail stefka.mihova@trakia-uni.bg) till the 2^ND  of October a scanned copy of a document proving that you paid the tuition fee for the first semester. This will act as a guarantee for you that your place will be saved for you.

IMPORTANT: You must write the student’s name, specialty and year of study in the reference field of the payment document so that we may identify your payment. For ex. “Stefka Mihova, Veterinary medicine, First course”.

The amount of the tuition fee for the first semester and the bank account is as follows:

Veterinary medicine: 2550 euro, paid to the following account:

• 6^TH OF OCTOBER – this is the deadline for you to come and register as a student in Trakia university. We shall keep your place for you only in case you have already sent the payment document till the 2^ND of October.

1. The students who would like to be accommodated in the students’ dormitories may apply for the dormitories during the enrollment process. Trakia university accommodates all of its students. The monthly rent is approx. 110-120 BGN. Initially the newly accommodated students must pay approx. 220-240 BGN (for the first month-September and the last month-June). During the enrollment process you will get additional instructions regarding the accommodation.
2. Please keep in mind that the ranking list depends on the results of the entrance exams and on the marks in Biology and Chemistry from the diplomas of the applicants. The final ranking is calculated as follows:

For the specialty „Veterinary medicine“: The mark from the entry test in Biology is doubled and added to the marks in Chemistry and Biology from the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (these marks are equalled to the Bulgarian grading system through a specialformula).
