On 25 and 26 May in Spa Hotel Calista, Starazagorski mineralni bani was held the annual for the faculty of Agriculture, Trakia University SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE WITH INTERNATIONAL PARTICIPATION “AGRICULTURAL SCIENCE, ECOLOGY AND BUSINESS FOR SMART GROWTH”.
The conference was opened with two plenary reports:
- Professor Hoquette from the institure INRA-France on the topic: „Research on herbivores at Inra-Clermont-Ferrand“ and
- Professor Yalcin Kaya from Turkey on the topic: „Key issues for profitable sunflower production in drylands“
Guests at the conference were prof. G. Mihaylova – Vice Rector of Trakia University, prof. Nasko Vasilev – Vice Rector of Trakia University, assoc. prof. Darina Zaimova – Vice Rector of Trakia University, prof. Tonia Georgieva – Vice Dean of the faculty of Agronomy in Agricultural University Plovdiv; prof. N. Kostadinova and prof. V. Videv – Dean and Vice Dean of the faculty of Economics; assoc. prof. P. Georgiev – Vice Dean of the faculty of Veterinary Medicine; Rectors and Deans of universities in the country; Directors of scientific institutes; leaders of companies from the agricultural sector, teachers and students from the faculty of Agriculture.
At the conference were presented 52 scientific reports and 53 posters by scientists from Bulgaria, France, United Kingdom, Poland, Romania, Macedonia, Iran, Turkey and China.
The conference was held in five sections: “Animal Science”, “Crop Science”, “Ecology, environment and food quality”, “Agricultural techniques and technologies”, “Students and PhD students”
